This is a free pass for Non-Japanese passport holders. Within the covered region, this pass allows unlimited rides on JR EAST lines (including BRT), Izu Kyuko Lines, Tokyo Monorail lines, Aoimori Railway, Iwate Galaxy Railway (IGR) and Non-reserved Seats and Reserved Seats on the limited express / express trains or ordinary trains (including rapid service) on all Sendai Airport Lines, as well as the Reserved Seats in ordinary cars of limited express trains that directly run between the JR lines and Tobu Railway lines such as "Nikko", "Kinugawa", and "SPACIA Kinugawa". Some JR bus routes can also be used. It can be used for 5 consecutive days from the date of issue of the pass.

Plan Restrictions (Attachments):
- Anyone who possesses a valid passport issued by a country other than Japan at the time of purchase, exchange, and during the period of use.
- The determination of whether a person is an adult or child is based on the age when the pass is purchased. Please check the person's age with the passport or an official document.
- Children under the age of 5 need to purchase a children's pass if they need to reserve a seat.

- 1 Validity of an E-Ticket: E-Ticket will be valid for three months from the day of issuance.
2 Validity of JR EAST PASS after exchange: 5 consecutive days from the starting date.
* The customer needs to select the starting date within one month when exchanging the pass at the designated exchange location.

Please make sure that the name entered at the time of booking and the name on the customer's passport are the same. If they do not match each other, JR EAST PASS cannot be exchanged at the designated location in Japan. Please check the name and spelling again.

1 The customer will need to show the E-Ticket and passport when collecting 'JR EAST PASS' at the designated location in Japan. A copy of the customer’s passport cannot be used to collect a pass.
2 When exchanging at a designated exchange location in Japan, the customer is required to specify the starting date. The starting date must be within one month from the date of exchange. Once the pass is exchanged the starting date cannot be modified.
3 While the validity period overlaps, the same type of pass cannot be issued. Please select a starting date that would not overlap the validity period. Different type of pass (Tohoku area / Nagano, Niigata area) can be exchanged even if the validity period overlaps.
4 When customers do not meet the qualifications, they will not be able to exchange passes even with an E-Ticket. Please contact the travel agency where the customer purchased the tickets for refund.

1 Please use the automatic ticket gate.
2 When a JR EAST PASS is lost, even with the record or a copy of E-Ticket, the pass cannot be reissued.
3 If a customer takes trains outside the designated area for the JR EAST PASS or uses facilities not covered by the pass, additional fees will be charged.

1 This pass is valid only for the person himself. While using the pass, the customer must carry one's passport and be prepared to present it to a station attendant or train conductor if requested.
2 Once the customer has started to use this pass, the validity period cannot be extended, nor will any refund be issued, even if trains and other valid transportation services are suspended or delayed for any reason. Moreover, the JR EAST will not bear additional costs due to changes in route, such as alternative transportation costs or accommodation charges.

★Notes
1. The pass cannot be used on lines other than those listed above under "Lines available" and "Lines partially available".
2. Pass holders using Gran Class, Green cars, and sleeper trains are requested to purchase Super (Limited) Express Reserved Seat Tickets in advance for each ride.
* JR EAST PASS only covers the basic fare part of the ticket.
3. GALA Yuzawa Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen line can only be used when GALA Yuzawa Snow Resort is open.

When using reserved seats in the Shinkansen and limited express trains, reserved seat tickets are required. Reserved seat tickets are not necessary when using “Non-reserved seats” on trains on ordinary lines, the Shinkansen, and limited express trains. Some trains install only "Reserved Seat". As seats cannot be reserved or changed on board, please have a Reserved Seat Ticket issued at a designated place before boarding.
Reserved Seats on the Shinkansen and limited express trains can be used without limitation during the five days validity period.
1. Seat reservations will be possible at the JR EAST Reserved Seat Ticket Vending Machines.
* Some rail passes issued at certain ticket office will not support this service.
2. The reserved seat tickets are issued at "JR EAST Travel Service Center" and "JR EAST Ticket offices".
* Reserved Seat Tickets cannot be issued at JR Central, Tokyo Metro, Odakyu Electric Railway, Keisei Electric Railway or any other railway companies' ticket office.
Please return Reserved Seat Tickets, when tickets are no longer needed due to schedule changes or cancellations, at "JR EAST Ticket offices", "JR EAST Travel Service Centers" before the applicable train departs.
